Dial-a-fish. We also had pizza boxes with fish tails sticking out of them.

In 1999 we decided to do "Fish and Surf the Net" in the sailpast. The were lots of good themes and lots of fun with the water bomb fight prior to the sailpast resulting in LOTS of people being VERY wet.

The days weather left a bit to be desired as the wind howled at 20-25 knots and quite a few people were attracting the fish with their wonderful berley that was constantly being vomited over the side of the boat. Was it to do with the shirts being green this year?! Twenty five boats braved the weather to have the stories of the fish that got away and the huge seas.

Two billfish were caught , one marlin on New Moon and a sailfish on Flamingo Bay.

Mackerel, dolphin fish and tuna were the catch for most boats.

Champion Boat was awarded to New Moon. Those fishing on New Moon were Wendy Brace, Victoria Wall, Wendy Wall and Katherine Wall.

Wendy Brace was also awarded Champion Angler (Tagging and Releasing a Black Marlin) and Victoria Wall was awarded Champion Junior Angler (weighing a 10kg Spanish Mackeral and a Northern Bluefin Tuna).

Viking II came second and Flamingo Bay came third.
